Trip to Wookey Hole

Johnny, Sophie, Perry and Karan in one of the deepest caverns, 200 feet below the surface of the Mendips.  The cavern was created by a whirlpool which filled the chamber when there was a lot of rain and flooding.  It can still flood to this day - fortunately not today.

The children with relevant H and S hard hats await the entry into the new chamber, opened last year after months of digging and blasting.  One of the few places in the world where you can see Rillenkarren - small solution rills found on the surface of the limestone.  Now Mr H's most favourite limestone feature.

Mr and Mrs H lost underground.

An unexpected visitor comes down the valley.  Most of the children seem quite unperturbed.

Dario trying to look cool by putting his hat on the wrong way round.  Oscar seems really impressed.
