Westwood Not Camping Trip.., but we had loads of fun!

The poor weather resulted in Plan B being actioned. Mrs Mainwaring masterminded a terrific BBQ with Oscar playing a key role as sous-chef. Tomiwo entertained Albi, Isla and Rose. The food was yummy, especially the toasted marshmallows. The film was followed by hot chocolate and the dorms became make shift camps!

The sun shone in Wales as we all enjoyed white water rafting with Mr Edgell. Oscar and Johnny did a great job capturing these moments. We had excellent instructors who gave us a full safety briefing We all wore wetsuits, waterproof boots, helmets and a buoyancy aid. This was our final weekend with our delightful guests from Kingswood College, Grahamstown, who have flown the flag for their school and nation with great distinction in the last six weeks. We wish Callum, Darius, Gemma and  Iris all the best!

Longleat - Sunday May 15th

The annual trip to Longleat and this year it is warm and bright.

Summer has arrived leading to lunch on the Westwood Terrace

A glorious day ensured we could eat outside. Mrs Mainwaring orchestrated a delicious meal of burgers or sausages with salad, coleslaw and Eton Mess. The sun shone and various teams shopped, laid the tables, cooked and tidied. The Westwood dishwasher has also worked hard.

 Catching a little Star Wars is essential in the pre-cooking stage according to Rose!

This afternoon we did some prepping for the camping trip in two weeks' time. Team bonding. The girls did rather better than the boys! Let's hope the weather is as good and the boys get better at tent building!
