The summer term has kicked off

Our Captains of Boarding Ryan and Sarafina have written this summary of our first summer term weekend in Westwood. They write:

The boarders have enjoyed their first week back and are ready for the next. On Saturday, four boarders enjoyed watching Avengers: Endgame while everyone else was in town. In the evening we enjoyed the comfort of our home watching the movie, “The Internship” starring Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn, which was a hilarious movie. Sunday was a very enjoyable and relaxing day as we stayed in the house making a delicious lunch for everyone. We made Chilli Com Carne which we all enjoyed very much. Afterwards with teamwork, people helped clean up the dishes. Some people went to play tennis on the lower, or football in the Sports Hall, or just stayed in the house relaxing. We are excited to meet the South African Exchange Students on Tuesday and we can’t wait to show them what Westwood is like.

 Cooking team in action
The onions did bring a few tears and Praeasha did really well with the chillis!
That's an enormous tin of tomatoes, Lala!
Max and Monica had the peppers in hand.
Some of the tidy-uppers enjoying some football. Zen feeling at home with new friends.

James, Marco and Zen did a great job getting the tables ready!
 All the prepping done!

Executive chef, Mrs Curtis, browning 5 kg of mince with Sarafina!
 Looking good and lovely condiments.
 Servers ready for action

 Happy Boarders!

 Bon appétit!

Waiting patiently for other dinner guests to collect their delicious food.

James on round one of three!

 Can we start?

 Happiness personified

It has been a lovely way to start the summer term! My thanks to Sarafina and Ryan.
