It has been a relatively quiet weekend. A good number of girls, Sasha, Rachel, Katya, Monica, Sudipti, Nina, Praeasha, Dawn and Noelina embraced the cold conditions in matches against BGS - some teams were successful. Vladislav, Robert and Vic played hockey for the victorious U13B team. All those who wanted to shop in town got to town and Mr Duke settled back in the boarders' lounge enjoying Scotland beating England at rugby, which happens about once a decade! Saturday evening's film divided opinion, but Geostorm was the title.
After a gentle Sunday morning which included breakfast, some sport and brunch we braced ourselves for the walk to the cinema to see Black Panther or Greatest Showman. The group enjoyed beautiful skies despite the coldness. The walk down is
not their favourite activity, but many ate a good amount of popcorn
having taken some exercise! The majority watched the new Marvel film. The chat on the bus back to Westwood suggested both had been well received.
Mrs Duke has been baking for tomorrow morning's weekly sale of cakes and we celebrate Connie's and Perry's birthdays over the next two days! We are off to the Netball at Bath University on Friday evening and many Year 7 and Year 8 pupils will be involved in the annual Model United Nations as secretaries. Update to come from Mr Thatcher next week.
