Another dry weekend in Bath ensured a smooth Open Morning, followed by boys involved in various rugby matches and a big posse of Westwood boarders heading into town for some retail therapy with Kate, the prefect, and Miss Brandstätter. The purchase of some 'crazy soap' by Oscar led to the following pictures on the terrace. The canister is now empty and we do not need to see this product again!
Mr Edgell kindly accompanied our trip to Bristol Zoo and the pupils caught up with reptiles, amphibians, lions, apes and various birds who live in tropical forests. Some of the girls with heads for heights took on the high ropes -having been securely harnessed and well-briefed.There was also a chance to see a Kookaburra up close; he proved to be very feisty and would not give the dummy snake back to the demonstrator! A very good trip out! A good number of the Year 8 boarders were out on a splendid hike on the Mendips - more information on this hike will appear soon
http://kingswoodoutdoorpursuits.blogspot.co.uk/ Most of the pupils are now swimming before bedtime! Hope this finds you well, wherever you are reading it!
