Tortilla Party and Farewell to Agnès

Agnès orchestrated a delicious house meal tonight with tortilla, strips of beef, fried onions and peppers, sour cream, salsa and salad, followed by summer fruits and ice cream. The pupils all contributed by either setting up the tables, laying up, chopping, stirring or at the end tidying up - good team work ensured the evening was a success. All the plates and bowls were very clean at the end of the meal! The smiles in these photos tell you all you need to know! A top night. Un grand merci à notre chère Agnès! Bon retour en France!

Games on the Middle and Marshfield Ice Cream

We did not venture far, but after a week of being cooped up in the Sports Hall doing exams, an afternoon of Games in the fresh air was just what the doctor ordered. There were competitive Games of Danish Long Ball, Rounders, Football and Touch Rugby. We also made a foray to Marshfield Ice Cream for two scoops of deliciousness. Ben and Esmée were our prefects today and they mucked in really well! Popular choices were Candy Floss Crush, Mango Madness, Cookies and Cream and Clotted Cream. For more info: http://www.marshfield-icecream.co.uk/ The son of the owners of Marshfield Ice Cream, Angus, left Kingswood last year and had been a Westwood Prefect in 2012-13. The pupils also saw some calves born just this week!

Supper tonight was yummy Fish and Chips and shortly we will be celebrating Ayooluwa's 12th Birthday with Mrs Hollywell's wonderful cakes. A foody day enjoyed by all!

Into the Woods, Pizza and Pain Perdu (French Toast)

The boys' away cricket fixtures went ahead despite the inclement weather today, as did the girls' tennis at home. Girls won their U12 matches and the U13 A cricket lost narrowly, whilst the B team won. Tonight Agnès has again come up trumps with copious quantities of delicious 'pain perdu' (bread dipped in egg and milk with sugar, fried in butter and topped with sugar) -  a real hit!
