Slimbridge in glorious sunshine
Westwood boarders enjoyed wonderful weather and the rich bird-life on offer at Slimbridge about an hour north of Bath in the company of Mr Duke and Mrs Herlinger today. A huge variety of ducks, swans, geese, flamingos were on show and were well fed by the pupils!! No one fell in the water completely!

Lots of sport, a birthday celebrated, pizza and homemade cookies!
The Year 7 Westwood girls were either playing in exciting Netball matches or supporting friends this morning. Many of the boys were involved in successful hockey matches in relative sunshine. The boarders really appreciated the company of Esmée and Miles when they headed into town. Having celebrated Matthew's birthday with a delicious cake, we all settled down to watch Robocop or bake cookies under the expert eye of Agnès.Another top day in Westwood!

Westwood Woods and Bonfire
Most pupils are again helping as secretaries as the MUN event comes to a head. The remaining pupils have been helping Mr Hollywell, who is in his element, clear some of the dead wood by means of a handsome bonfire. The boys have also had a chance to build a den as the pictures testify. A top time had by all!

une soirée de crêpes
A good number of boarders were involved as secretaries at Kingswood School's annual Model United Nations. The event runs smoothly thanks largely to Year 7 and Year 8 pupils passing messages between diverse delegations as older pupils discuss controversial matters and negotiate in different Councils akin to the UN. Westwood pupils are rewarded with large quantities of sweets!
This evening, Agnès Marie, our wonderful French Assistant, who is helping out in Mrs Mainwaring's absence on Saturdays orchestrated the making, cooking, flipping and devouring of 60 freshly made crêpes (pancakes) complete with a variety of toppings: Nutella, banana, lemon, sugar and golden syrup. They were well received the boarders as evinced by the photos!
